Toegether they must use the power generated by their love to kill a vicious demon and keep him locked away forever, or risk losing everything.

REVIEW

Amity is the Goddess of Healing, who has long been forgotten by people and no longer worshiped by any. She works as a nurse and enjoys healing people. Then she comes in contact with two gorgeous men, who belong to shapeshifter's group, at a club and was actually trying to protect Amity from a demon. Soon, the three become attracted towards one another and then everything is hot everywhere.

The two male characters are good and gorgeous. Although Amity is portrayed at first as a celibate, she is anything but that. She plays and uses the two men well.

This novel was unexpectedly disappointing. The plot is so bad..in fact, there is no such plot here. If this is just a erotic novel with only 'those' scenes, I accept that I picked it up wrong. But being a part of the series and with the story about the Goddess of Healing, I expected better. The two male leads have some past wounds, but I can't feel their pain in the book. So, the lacking of some emotional connection with the book is what made me lose interest in the book.

If you expect an erotic novel, then pick it up!!! If you are one of whom, who expect some paranormal romance or mythology stuff in the novel, I think you would be disappointed.

INTERVIEW WITH HEATHER LONG

  1. Is there an inspiration behind why you chose writing?
I could never decide on what I wanted to be when I grew up, as an author, I get to be everything.
  1. When you were little, what did you want to be when you "grew up"?
I wanted to be an attorney, a journalist, an astronaut, a cop, a spy, a soldier, a Marine, a pilot and so much else. But reading opened doors to a million different worlds and writing is my passport.
  1. Finish the sentence- one book I wish I had written is....
…Moon Called.
  1. What are your current literary works?  Any sneak peaks?

Fevered Hearts - a paranormal western historical romance featuring some sexy brothers, supernatural powers and sensational romances.

Forbidden Legacy - paranormal romance set in the contemporary world as the Fae reveal themselves and ancient hatreds challenge the ménage relationship between a Fae, a Wizard and the woman they both love.

The Fortunate Buddha - a romantic suspense series that are loosely tied together by the common hunt for an icon that is said to bring great fortune to those that touch it.

Always a Marine - This is my series of five sexy shorts from Decadent as a part of their 1Night Stand line and I have to admit, I’m a little bit in love with every Marine in the series.

  1. If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
The future. I want to see the next several seasons of Vampire Diaries and the next Avengers movies (Thor, Captain America, and Ironman as well as the team flicks!)

  1. Which topics would you like to explore in your future books (assuming there are more to come)?
I have a vampire series that I would very much like to do, something of an epic, but I just haven’t had the time yet for that one.

  1. Please tell us in one sentence only, why we should read your book.
Because we all want a second chance, but we don’t always get one and hope is something we need to keep close to our hearts.

  1. Tell us your most rewarding experience since being published.
My daughter dances and has danced for years. In the last few years she’s gotten very serious and wants to make into her dance school’s highly competitive, highly exclusive dance company. A year ago, when the invitations to audition went out, she didn’t get one, even though she’d worked really hard. When I told her I was sorry, she just gave me this game little smile and said “that’s okay, it just means I have to work harder. Like you did. You didn’t give up and now you’re published. I won’t give up and I’ll be a part of company.”  That made my year.

  1. What's one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Never, ever give up. Writing is art, and art isn’t always appreciated by some people and it takes time to find that magic combination of story, writing style and editor or agent who wants it. But you can do it.

  1. If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world, which would it be?
Hard question. So many book worlds are not pretty places to live. But I think if I could visit, for a while, it would definitely be the Psy-Changeling world by Nalini Singh.

  1. If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Crap. Not again…

  1. What is your favorite scene in the book and why do you love it?
Hmm, in Once Her Man, Always Her Man, I think my favorite scenes were the flashbacks…the reasons why they loved each other, those innocent days before life got in the way. It reminds me of the soft light lens we often place over our pasts.

  1. What TV show/movie/book do you watch/read that you'd be embarrassed to admit?
Very little embarrasses me. So nope, can’t think of any that I’d be embarrassed to admit.

  1. What books do you most recommend to friends?
Patricia Briggs or Nalini Singh -- every time.

  1. One food you would never eat?
Okra. BLEGH.

REVIEW

Hearing this author for the first time?  Me too!  But, being new to this author doesn't stop me from enjoying this short story.  Its cool, its great, its hot!  Whatever I say about this novel, would give the thrill away.  So, for the first time in my reviewing history, there is no plot explanation..read and know for yourself. :)  But, don't worry, there is some character review here, instead!

Luke.. Oh god, Luke!  If someone can make you swoon over a man, in just less than 10 minutes by talking about him, it would be Heather Long (I think).  Luke is a Marine - strong, tough and charming.  I hate when men play I-hurt-you-because-I-want-to-protect-you card with the girl.  But, can't help my swooning part.. :)

Rebecca is a regular girl with strong and kind attitude and I.adore.her.  I am a romantic, and can't help praying for Rebecca.

I forgot to say, this is erotic romance..so kids below 18, please avoid this!

For such a short novel, its so good and so engaging!  Would like to read more from this series.
