Wishlist Wednesday #7

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop conducted by Pen to Paper, where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

The book on my wishlist is "Lover Reborn" (Black Dagger Brotherhood #10) by J.R. Ward.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

#1 New York Times bestselling author J. R. Ward’s “different, creative, dark, violent, and flat-out amazing”* Black Dagger Brotherhood continues as a vampire warrior crosses the line between life and death…into a world of dark dreams and darker desires.

Ever since the death of his shellan, Tohrment is a heartbroken shadow of the vampire leader he once was. Brought back to the Brotherhood by a self-serving fallen angel, he fights again with ruthless vengeance- and is unprepared for a new tragedy. Seeing his beloved in dreams—trapped in a cold, desolate netherworld—he turns to the angel to save his former mate, only to despair at the path he himself must take to set her free. As war with the lessers rages, and a new clan of vampires vies for the Blind King’s throne, Tohr struggles between an unforgettable past, and a future that he doesn’t know he can live with… but can’t seem to turn away from.

MY THOUGHTS

This book needs no publicizing.  I just want this book.  This series is so awesome..if you haven't read it yet, you must START NOW.

The book on my wishlist is "Tempest Rising" (Tempest #1) by Tracy Deebs.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

Tempest Maguire wants nothing more than to surf the killer waves near her California home; continue her steady relationship with her boyfriend, Mark; and take care of her brothers and surfer dad. But Tempest is half mermaid, and as her seventeenth birthday approaches, she will have to decide whether to remain on land or give herself to the ocean like her mother. The pull of the water becomes as insistent as her attraction to Kai, a gorgeous surfer whose uncanny abilities hint at an otherworldly identity as well. And when Tempest does finally give in to the water's temptation and enters a fantastical underwater world, she finds that a larger destiny awaits her-and that the entire ocean's future hangs in the balance.

MY THOUGHTS

I always liked mermaid novels/movies, fairy tales and anything that's cool involving fantasy.  And they say in the description that the protagonist is half-mermaid.  It seems an interesting plot and I will buy sometime in future.  And I love this cover and recently I started buying books with awesome covers! :)

Everneath by Brodi Ashton.  Good, but not amazing.  See my review here.  Many of you would have known about its cover.  Beautiful, isn't it? :)

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop conducted by Pen to Paper, where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

The book on my wishlist is "My Unfair Godmother" (My Fair Godmother #2) by Janette Rallison.

BOOK DESCRIPTION

Tansy Miller has always felt that her divorced father has never had enough time for her. But mistakenly getting caught on the wrong side of the law wasn' texactly how she wanted to get his attention. Enter Chrysanthemum "Chrissy" Everstar, Tansy's fairy in shining, er, high heels. Chrissy is only a fair godmother, of course, so Tansy's three wishes don't exactly go according to plan. And if bringing Robin Hood to the twenty-first century isn't bad enough for Tansy, being transported back to the Middle Ages to deal with Rumpelstiltskin certainly is. She'll need the help of her blended family, her wits, and especially the cute police chief 's son to stop the gold-spinning story from spinning wildly out of control.

Janette Rallison pulls out all the stops in this fresh, fun-filled follow-up to the popular My Fair Godmother.

MY THOUGHTS

I read the first book months ago and I really enjoyed the easiness of the book.  It was light and fun.  Then I thought I should get this book, but I have so many already in hand..so didn't buy it yet.  I have a feeling that I will like this book, as well.

So, this is my wishlist for this week.  How about you? :)

My Answers:

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading "They Still Call Me Sister" by Deborah Plummer Bussey, a psychological thriller.

What did you recently finish reading?

Damian's Oracle..Its a fantasy romance novel.  But I didn't like it much..the fantasy part clashes with the technology part and it became a mess.  But I still enjoyed some part of the romance and stubbornness of the heroine.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Ah!  A confusing question..and which I am thinking for the past two days myself.  I have not concluded it yet.  But, I think it will be among these three.

1.  The Endless Waltz by Jacob Marc Schafer
2.  Easter's Lily by Judy Serrano
3.  Time Out by Jill Shalvis (ARC)

What are you planning on reading next?

Wishlist Wednesday #3

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop conducted by Pen to Paper, where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

The book on my wishlist is "Liesl and Po" by Lauren Oliver (Author) and Kei Acedera (Illustrator).

Blurb:

Liesl lives in a tiny attic bedroom, locked away by her cruel stepmother. Her only friends are the shadows and the mice—until one night a ghost appears from the darkness. It is Po, who comes from the Other Side. Both Liesl and Po are lonely, but together they are less alone.
That same night, an alchemist's apprentice, Will, bungles an important delivery. He accidentally switches a box containing the most powerful magic in the world with one containing something decidedly less remarkable.

Will's mistake has tremendous consequences for Liesl and Po, and it draws the three of them together on an extraordinary journey.

From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Oliver comes a luminous and magnificent novel that glows with rare magic, ghostly wonders, and a true friendship that lights even the darkest of places.

My Thoughts:

I have been swooning over this book for a very long time.  I love the cover, plot and book (I saw some insides of the pictures from another blog).  But, I don't know why I didn't buy it yet.  So many good reviews about this book from my fellow bloggers..I just wish I could get this book.   Somehow, I can make time for this book, if I have this. :)

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading 'Promising Light', the first in The Protectors series, by Emily Ann Ward.  I am also reading 'Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs' by Molly Harper.  I have already given a lot of information about Promising Light in my other memes this week.  So, let's go to the first book of the Jane Jameson series - Nice Girls don't have Fangs.  I love all of Molly Harper's works.  This book is as hilarious as a Molly Harper book can be.  Great fun time read!  Simple storyline, no emotions running high..light and easy! :)

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished reading "The Goddess Test" by Aimee Carter last week.  It was good and I really will read the second book in the series by this month.  (Already got the book from Harlequin publishers for review. :)  Thanks a lot, Harlequin!)

What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently received a book from the giveaway from Ritesh Kala's book reviews.  I think I will read it.  The book, I won, is Water (Akasha #1) by Terra Harmony.  I love the cover of this book and my friend, Ritesh, told the book is awesome.  So, I am just going to trust him on this and go with it. :)

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop conducted by Pen to Paper, where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

The book on my wishlist is "The Return of Rafe MacKade (The MacKade Brothers #1)".

Goodreads Synopsis:

THE TOWN WAS BUZZING OVER RAFE's RETURN...

Some said there would be trouble. Bound to be. Trouble hung around Rafe MacKade like a bell around a bull's neck. Oh, he was as handsome as ever, with those devil's good looks the MacKades were gifted -- or cursed -- with. If a female had breath in her body, she couldn't help but look twice at that loose-legged stride that seemed to dare anyone to get in the way.

And what about that newcomer, Regan Bishop? Pretty as a picture, but a little prim. Would she be impervious to the legendary MacKade charm?

Sure didn't look that way....

My Thoughts:

It's quite some time now, since I read a contemporary romance.  I have been lately reading a lot of paranormal and historical romances - no complaints there.  So, this caught my eye and there were so many good reviews about it.  Having this on my wish list and maybe will read it soon.

So, what's on your wishlist?  I would like to see more amazing books..

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop conducted by Pen to Paper, where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it's entirely up to you), that we can't wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves.

The book on my wishlist is "On the Jellicoe Road".

Goodreads Synopsis:

My father took one hundred and thirty two minutes to die.

I counted.

It happened on the Jellicoe Road. The prettiest road I’d ever seen, where trees made breezy canopies like a tunnel to Shangri-La. We were going to the ocean, hundreds of kilometres away, because I wanted to see the ocean and my father said that it was about time the four of us made that journey. I remember asking, “What’s the difference between a trip and a journey?” and my father said, “Narnie, my love, when we get there, you’ll understand,” and that was the last thing he ever said.

We heard her almost straight away. In the other car, wedged into ours so deep that you couldn’t tell where one began and the other ended. She told us her name was Tate and then she squeezed through the glass and the steel and climbed over her own dead – just to be with Webb and me; to give us her hand so we could clutch it with all our might. And then a kid called Fitz came riding by on a stolen bike and saved our lives.

Someone asked us later, “Didn’t you wonder why no one came across you sooner?”

Did I wonder?

When you see your parents zipped up in black body bags on the Jellicoe Road like they’re some kind of garbage, don’t you know?

‘Wonder dies.’

My Thoughts:

This book has been recommended by my Goodreads friends for quite some time..so many excellent reviews about this book!  And after reading the synopsis, I was wishing to buy it soon.  And yeah, the cover is intriguing.   Who knows, maybe I will be gifted this book by someone. :)  Or else I am planning to buy it, anyway.

So, what's on your wishlist?  I would like to see more amazing books..
