In the romantic comedy, One Last Class, thirty-two year old, Zak Spencer, is a washed-up teen idol, who decides to rebuild his life by returning to college in Arizona. REVIEW

Zak Spencer was once a very popular television artist.  But, now as he is in his thirties, all he does is wait for any opportunity to act.  When he finally realizes that his life is never going to be a success, he decides to graduate and build his life again.  There, he meets Amy Campbell, his professor, who also happens to be young and attractive.  The college has a rule that if any staff has illegal relationship with the students, they will be dismissed immediately.  Amy loves her job and needs it.  But, will she lose Zak, who may or may not be her true love?

This is a short and entertaining read.  The writing is good and for such a short novel, the characters are well developed.  The plot is realistic..no drama involved.

If you are looking for a fast read, pick it up.

TWYLA'S LAST TRIP

Original Title: Twyla's Last Trip
Author: Karen Mueller Bryson
Publisher: Short on Time Books
Publishing Date: March 17th 2012
Genre: Contemporary Romance

BOOK DESCRIPTION

In the romantic comedy, Twyla’s Last Trip, twenty eight-year old, Lucinda Starr is an uptight research psychologist, whose deadline to complete her doctoral dissertation is completely derailed by her estranged mother, Twyla Starr's sudden death. Lucinda must take her mother's ashes on a road trip on Route 66, in order to fulfill the requirements of her will and inherit her fortune. To make matters worse, Lucinda finds herself forced to travel across the country with her mother's easygoing country lawyer, T.J. Yates, who drives her crazy, and his drooling bloodhound, Dakota, who Lucinda finds revolting.

REVIEW

I liked this book much to my surprise.  Short and sweet!

Lucinda is a psychologist, who is so stubborn and holds her uptight.  When the news of her mother, Twyla's death hits, she still holds herself steady, not showing a trace of sadness. Twyla's lawyer, T.J. Yates, contacts Lucinda and tells her that Twyla has inherited a large amount of money from her mother.  Lucinda, who lost touch with her mother long ago and doesn't know that her mother was rich, was shocked, and goes in person to meet the lawyer.

T.J. Yates tells her that her mother's will states that she must take her mother's ashes on a road trip on Route 66, in order to inherit the fortune.  So, the trio - Lucinda, T.J. Yates and his bloodhound, Dakota - were on their journey.

Lucinda learns many things on her way.  The main thing is that she failed to know her mother properly.  Soon, Lucinda changes her attitude towards things and tries to see and enjoy the life before her.

Nothing is dull or boring in this novel.  We all have moments, where we forget to enjoy life.  Sometimes, we forget that life is not so important than love and life.  The book will make you realize that.  This was a realistic fiction - a very light read, that will make you think.

This was a great fast read - one, I think, everyone should read!
