Musing Mondays #1

Hosted by Should Be Reading

This week’s musing asks…

How far along are you in your current read before you start thinking about what you’ll read next?

My Answer:

When the reading is interesting, engaging and/or enthralling and I have already chosen two to three books to read, I won't think about next read (But, my TBR pile keeps increasing, even at that time..I am not sure how ;-) ).  After I finish one or two from my currently-reading pile, I will start thinking what books should I buy and what can I start reading from my already-bought shelf.  Its fun to think those things..always fun..makes some of my favorite moments of my day. :)

So, do you have this habit too?

  1. My reading has been lacking late;y. I do find if I read though, and pick up another book I will start reading immediately. I like to start the new book when I'm on a roll with a current one so that I don't have to "start" a new book. It's already started - I just have to continue. 3. Not sure if this is the post you wanted comments on (through Comment Luv on WBC).

Answer: Since I am a book reviewer, I'm looking 3 months in advance for my next book I 'have' to read. For books I personally want to read, I just pick up whatever suits my mood at the time.

  5. I totally agree with you when you say that it's fun to think about what books should you buy, etc. Sometimes, it's quite therapeutic too in a different way.
Thanks for stopping by my blog :)

  7. When I plan ahead, I don't have to think about the next one. It's there, waiting.

  9. this is a really good answer! I try to limit myself, when I have 15 unread books on my TBR pile I force myself not to buy any more until I have read at least three of them! haha!

  10. One reason I like to buy my books is so I can select which book I read next. I just do this for fun so ti does not matter what I read.

  13. I somehow tend to always read 2 books together, and I seem to have a never-ending list of review requests for my blog. I just can't seem to get those finished to really think about buying books right now.
I do have to say, some of the books I have read have been terrific.
