Hosted by Should Be Reading
This week’s musing asks…
How far along are you in your current read before you start thinking about what you’ll read next?
My Answer:
When the reading is interesting, engaging and/or enthralling and I have already chosen two to three books to read, I won't think about next read (But, my TBR pile keeps increasing, even at that time..I am not sure how ;-) ). After I finish one or two from my currently-reading pile, I will start thinking what books should I buy and what can I start reading from my already-bought shelf. Its fun to think those things..always fun..makes some of my favorite moments of my day. :)
So, do you have this habit too?

My reading has been lacking late;y. I do find if I read though, and pick up another book I will start reading immediately. I like to start the new book when I'm on a roll with a current one so that I don't have to "start" a new book. It's already started - I just have to continue. ReplyDeletelol I like your Musing Monday. I don't know how my TBR pile keeps increasing either ;) Something that can't be helped I see.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if this is the post you wanted comments on (through Comment Luv on WBC).
ReplyDeleteAnswer: Since I am a book reviewer, I'm looking 3 months in advance for my next book I 'have' to read. For books I personally want to read, I just pick up whatever suits my mood at the time.
I usually have a few books already lined up. I like to know I have something to read next. Great blog. following you WBC.

I totally agree with you when you say that it's fun to think about what books should you buy, etc. Sometimes, it's quite therapeutic too in a different way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog :)
It's a never ending cycle. What to read, what to buy, where to go from there. I am constantly changing my mind. Here's my Musing
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!

When I plan ahead, I don't have to think about the next one. It's there, waiting.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY MUSING MONDAY POST - and here’s

I haven't been able to read much lately, my seven month old tends to try and steal my books :) lol.

this is a really good answer! I try to limit myself, when I have 15 unread books on my TBR pile I force myself not to buy any more until I have read at least three of them! haha!
ReplyDeletenew follower :)
would be nice if you could look at my blog too :) www.abilouise-loveofliterature.blogspot.com
Abi.. :)
One reason I like to buy my books is so I can select which book I read next. I just do this for fun so ti does not matter what I read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and following!

I somehow tend to always read 2 books together, and I seem to have a never-ending list of review requests for my blog. I just can't seem to get those finished to really think about buying books right now.
ReplyDeleteI do have to say, some of the books I have read have been terrific.
