Dusty Reads #4

Dusty Reads is a weekly meme, hosted at .Xpresso Reads, featuring a book that has been sitting unread on my home shelf for some time. This meme will be posted here on Thursday.

My pick this week

Devil In Winter
(Wallflowers #3)

Author: Lisa Kleypas
Publisher: Avon Books
Publication Date: February 28th 2006
Paperback: 374 pages

BLURB:

A DEVIL'S BARGAIN

Easily the shyest Wallflower, Evangeline Jenner stands to become the wealthiest, once her inheritance comes due. Because she must first escape the clutches of her unscrupulous relatives, Evie has approached the rake Viscount St. Vincent with a most outrageous proposition: marriage!

Sebastian's reputation is so dangerous that thirty seconds alone with him will ruin any maiden's good name. Still, this bewitching chit appeared, unchaperoned, on his doorstep to offer her hand. Certainly an aristocrat with a fine eye for beauty could do far worse.

But Evie's proposal comes with a condition: no lovemaking after their wedding night. She will never become just another of the dashing libertine's callously discarded broken hearts --- which means Sebastian will simply have to work harder at his seductions ... or perhaps surrender his own heart for the very first time in the name of true love.

MY THOUGHTS:

I bought this book a month ago, after so many recommendations from my friends.  Why do I have not got time to read what I want to? :(  I want to read this one and the other book - When Beauty Tamed the Beast - for a long time.  I already accepted for book tours and reviews this month and am pretty occupied with all of that (and of course, also occupied with my profession).

I just hope I have more time to read (sighs)..

I think most of you would have read this or put in your wishlist.  So, what do you think about this book?  And do you have any dusty reads that you want to share?

  1. I've read this book and definitely my favorite of wallflower series :D. I liked Evie who is shy and pure is being paired with Sebastian, the big player and has long history with women. Evie does a big change to him and become a better man :D
I hope you'll read this soon and enjoy it as I do.
Thanks for visiting my blog and of course I'm happy to follow you back :D
